(AUG. 1, 2008)

Welcome back all of you comic book junkies. Kenny here with all of your Midnight Horizon Comics updates. Things are picking up around here as we prepare to go in a lot of new directions. Coming this Halloween,  look for  the first of an ongoing annual Horror Anthology. That's right, look for Horrific Tales Anthology this October with strange and eerie horror  installments from  some rising talent in the comic world. The line up includes Randy Parker, Lyle Pollard, Chris McJunkin, Ben Phillips, Mike Watkins, John Anderson, Cary Kelly, Keith Dotson, Steve Likens, Bill Cofflin, Kelly Williams, Maverick Comics, and yours truly... phew! There is also a 12 page comic titled Cookies available which will be in the anthology as well. So, to get a taste of what to expect from the anthology just get a copy of Cookies to ease the wait.

Now on to the biggest news here at M. H.  comics. Look for the Slayer series to move into a new direction. After much debate I have decided to discontinue the small press title and take it to the next level with a complete re-launch with new story and art. Plus, the new series will be in glorious color! That's right, I feel like the time is right to go back and tell a better story with new and improved art and introduce new characters in the Slayer universe. Slayer has had a small cult following for years and I want that fan base to grow as I bring you a new and exciting series with a new and improved take on everyone's sword slinging vigilante. Stay posted and look for news and  updates on this exciting event taking place in 2009.

Also, Look for the conclusion to the Expulse min-series soon as we wrap things up with our carefree defender of Earth.  I plan to take a breather from Expulse while I focus all of my energy on the new Slayer series. But fear not... Expulse will return with another exiting and mind blowing storyline in the future.

As many of you may have heard, the Ruthless printing situation has been resolved and those of you who ordered Ruthless #0 from Dimestore Production should have gotten your book in the mail. I thank you all for supporting Ruthless and appreciate everyone's patience. Look for Ruthless to continue as a min-series with the same awesome creative team that grabbed the small press idol audience back in 2007. That is about it on the news front here. So until next time buy some books from us, stop by and comment on our forum and give us any feedback you want.  See Ya!!

(April ‎26, ‎2008)

Welcome back to  Midnight Horizon Comics. Please bear with us as we update each page on the site as we incorporate our new look.

I  know a lot of you are still awaiting your copy of  Ruthless # 0  from Dimestore Productions. Ian is currently printing the book after a very long delay.  Everyone has been more patient than I have been myself and I appreciate that. I will  keep you all informed to the progress with the printer and when it will be shipped to you or if you want to discuss it with Ian personally, stop by his forum and speak with him at ...dimestoreproductions.com

In other Ruthless related news...writer Randy Parker will complete the script for Dressed to Kill issue 2 for Highburn Studios and then it's back to work on the follow up to Ruthless # 0. Lyle Pollard  plans on continuing as artist on the book along with the inking force of Highburn Studios. There will be more on that as it develops.

As for your favorite Ninja vigilante... Slayer # 4 is now available to order on our store page as well as two hot titles from Highburn Studios. Show those Highburn guys some love and order your copy of Guardians # 2, and Dressed to Kill # 1 today. Both of these comics kick major a$$ and leave you thirsting for the next issues.

Expulse # 2 and Slayer # 5 is currently in production and will be out soon. Check out the cover to your left  for a look of what's  to come.

Plus, don't forget that free comic book day is just around the corner. Stop by your local comic shop on May 3rd and see what's available for you for FREE.

That about wraps it up for this month. Until next time. See ya!
